Install Sharepoint 2013 using local account

"The username is invalid. The account must be a valid domain account."

If you are trying to install Sharepoint  2013 (or 2013) with a Single Server Farm option using local account, it is not going to be possible like it was with Sharepoint 2007.

When you start Configuration Wizard and try to create Config database using local account this is the message you're going to get:

Solution:

Start Powershell:

Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft Sharepoint 2013  Products -> Sharepoint 2013 Management Shell

Write command:

New-SPConfigurationDatabase

It will ask you for server name, database name, user credentials (local account, but full name - DOMAIN\username) and passphrase. 

After that, stat Configuration Wizard again and starting with the server already joined to the farm.
